She began her career at Reelfoot Animal Hospital as a veterinary assistant and is now our well-established, caring, and passionate, Dr. Mallory Allen. Having been surrounded by animals most of her life, she has always had a love for anything animal related. Dr. Allen’s determination to work with animals proved to be unstoppable when she enrolled in the University of Tennessee at Martin’s preveterinary program.
Following her college graduation, she continued her educational endeavors and completed another year in UTM’s veterinary technician program. She then went on to attend the Lincoln Memorial University School of Veterinary Medicine as part of their second graduating class.
Dr. Allen has a strong passion for canine reproduction and believes it is incredibly important to try and improve the dog breeds that we all know and love through health testing and genetic screening.
When she is not in the clinic, Dr. Allen enjoys spending time with her husband, Hunter, and their son, Abel. She’s a proud owner of three Tennessee Walking horses, and her very handsome Doberman, Odin. Dr. Allen loves to read and partake in outdoor recreation, including clay target shooting. She believes it is very important to try and conserve our natural resources through hunting and fishing, and participating in outdoor activities that highlight the beautiful landscape and wildlife that we are surrounded by.
