We understand how stressful it can be to leave your pet when you go out of town, especially if they are ill or recovering from a procedure or surgery. We at Reelfoot Animal Hospital want to put your mind at ease.
We offer full general pet boarding services to all of our patients, as well as medical boarding services for pets with conditions that standard boarding facilities may not be able to accommodate.
Pets must be up to date with all vaccinations, and proof of vaccination will be required.
Every morning, the dogs go outside to our outdoor run to get some fresh air before breakfast. Their kennels are cleaned, disinfected, and restocked with fresh linens while they are outside.
We walk the dogs who stay with us regularly, depending on their physical capacity and ability.
Your dog will also be supervised throughout their stay with us, both during walks and when they are resting. Dinner is served in the evening, and we go for one last walk before bedtime.
Your cat will be fed according to your instructions and their needs, ensuring that their routine is the same as it is at home.
We offer daily one-on-one interaction with kitties (if they want it!), which includes play, snuggles, and pets. Throughout the day, litter boxes are checked, cleaned, and disinfected.
We also change the linens and clean your cat's room daily. Our cat boarding area is separate from the dog boarding area to ensure that your kitty feels relaxed and safe while staying with us.
Our expert veterinarians and nurses will supervise your pet and administer medications while keeping a close eye on them. Any medications will be given to your pet on the same schedule that they are used to at home.
We're serious animal lovers, and our whole team enjoys giving our boarders all the attention and care they deserve while they're staying with us.

We've got everything your pet needs for a fun, recuperative, and safe stay, including the following accommodations and amenities:
We have a large facility and can accommodate several animals at once, provided you give us sufficient notice.
Depending on the circumstances, we may be able to board family members (canine/canine or feline/feline) together.
Our boarding fees are as follows:
0-45 lbs: $13.50 per night
45-100 lbs: $15.75 per night
100 & over: $18.00 per night
After 5 nights of boarding, upon request, your pet will receive a free bath (restrictions apply).
All pets must be dropped off or picked up during regular office hours. Reservations are mandatory, especially for holidays and summer weekends. During these times, we recommend that you call 2-3 weeks in advance to increase the chance that a spot will be available.
Food: We provide food for pets staying with us. However, please feel free to bring enough of your pet's regular food to last the duration of the stay.
Medication: If your pet takes any medication, bring it along for our staff to administer.
Toys: If your pet has a special toy or two, bring them along.
We will be glad to administer your pet's medications while they are with us.
Yes, feel free to call us during your pet's stay for updates. If there is a problem, we will contact you via the emergency contact information you provide.
Each animal is different. To prepare for your pet's stay with us, we'll take the following steps to ensure that we can meet their unique needs.
Call us to book, and discuss details about your pet and your boarding needs. A member of our team will be happy to coordinate your booking.
Important: Pets must be up to date with all vaccinations, and proof of vaccination will be required. All pets must also be free of fleas and ticks to stay at our facility.
We want to be sure that we are a good fit for your pet before an extended stay. The trial stay consists of a full day of daycare where we can take the time to assess your pet's temperament and make sure they fit in with the pack.
On the day you drop your pet off with us, there are a few steps you can take to help reduce any stress your pet may feel.
Spend some extra time with your pet beforehand, and make sure they get some vigorous exercise so that they are feeling calm. When you arrive at our facility, stay calm, cheerful, and confident during the separation.
For pets that are not on a special diet, we can provide high-quality pet food that is appropriate for the size and breed of your pet. An additional fee may apply.
